“Live from the River Music Hall: You!! Contest”

for 92.5 The River (WXRV). The music will be submitted to WXRV for possible air on WXRV. All submissions should be on cd and must be received by September 10th, 2008. They cannot be returned. The promotion guidelines are as follows:

· Everyone entering the contest is required to sign a release form. Participants must submit release forms along with your submission. If any of the participants refuse to sign, the entry will be disqualified. In the case of minors appearing submitting a contest entry, a parent or legal guardian will need to sign the release.

· Entry must be submitted by a person living in the Boston/Portsmouth/Manchester area

· WXRV is not responsible for cd’s that get lost in the mail, arrive damaged, or in any condition that makes listening impossible.

· Representatives of WXRV along with selected judges will listen to each submission and ultimately choose their favorite submission. Their decision is final and binding. WXRV is solely responsible for the choice. This is not a random choice contest.

· All submissions may be used by WXRV for promotional purposes.

· The person who submits the winning cd will be given the opportunity to perform and record for 3 hours in the The River Music Hall.

· Winner is responsible for any applicable taxes.

· The winner must submit a social security number on their prize claim form or they will forfeit the prize.

· The winner and any participants shall receive no compensation for their use on WXRV promotional announcements on the radio and television.

· The ““Live from the River Music Hall: You!! Contest” promotion is not a typical WXRV contest, and therefore is open to anyone who has won a prize anytime previously on WXRV.

Other than the above guidelines, WXRV standard contest rules apply

CD’s must be received at WXRV 30 How Street, Haverhil, MA 01830 by 9/10/08. Three (3) Finalists will be chosen; Those 3 artists will perform for River judges at a date and place to be determined. The grand prize winner will be voted on and chosen from those 3 performers at that juncture. Said winner is allowed to perform and record for up to 3 hours at the River Music Hall on a date to be determined by WXRV. In addition, The Winner receives the opportunity to perform Newburyport RiverFront Festival. Restrictions apply. WXRV reserves the right to alter contest.

General Contest Rules
WXRV-FM-The River

WXRV-FM The River contests are open to all WXRV-FM The River listeners who reside in New England. Employees of WXRV-FM The River, its licensee, its corporate parent Northeast Broadcasting, participating sponsors/promotional partners, affiliated advertising agencies, other radio stations in the Boston/Portsmouth/Manchester Area and members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.

Listeners are eligible to win a WXRV-FM The River contest once every thirty days (unless the prize is judged by WXRV-FM The River to be insignificant) and a prize valued at $600 or more once every six months. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.

The sixty (60) day rule also does not apply for WXRV-FM The River's “Live from the River Music Hall: You!" contest.

Contestants will be required to sign and submit with their cd entry a release form waiving WXRV-FM The River of any liability for injury or death caused during the contest or by use of the prize. Contestants may be required to present a valid ID or driver's license.

All physical prizes should be picked-up at the office of WXRV-FM The River during normal office hours (Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, excluding holidays) at 30 How Street, Haverhill, MA. Winners should not pick-up prizes until notified by a WXRV-FM The River representative. The winner will forfeit any prize not claimed within 30 days of winning or by time designated to each contest.
If the winner requests the prize be mailed, they must complete and sign the prize release form and send WXRV-FM The River a self-addressed stamped envelope and assume all risks of its arrival. WXRV-FM The River is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash. WXRV-FM The River reserves the right to substitute a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value.

Decisions of WXRV-FM The River station management with respect to contests are final.

Payment of all federal, state, and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form 1099 or the equivalent if prize or combination of prizes for the 2008 calendar year totals over $599.

By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any broadcasting or advertising material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.

Contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) will be required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of any prize valued at $600 or greater or which prize includes the provision of transportation, whether or not such transportation is provided by WXRV-FM The River. Pursuant to the liability release, the winners will agree to hold WXRV-FM The River, its corporate licensee, its parent company Northeast Broadcasting Corporation, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or contest.

WXRV-FM The River reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.

No purchase is necessary. The contest is void where prohibited. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, at the sole discretion of WXRV-FM The River.

WXRV-FM The River is not responsible for typographical or other errors in printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.

WXRV-FM The River is not responsible for problems with the telephone lines or fax machine.

Copies of the written contest rules are available during the regular business hours (Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm) at the main studio of WXRV-FM The River, 30 How Street, Haverhill, MA, 01830 and will be sent by request via mail when requester sends a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.
